Dan 3:23-25:
"And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spoke, and said unto his counselors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God."
The words above, though it happened literally, can also be viewed metaphorical. We go to situations where we can describe as something alike above -- burning fiery furnace. And what goes in our heads and hearts during that time? Fear. Lost. Defeat. Regret. Sorrow. Shivers from the inside out of your whole being. Helplessness. And the list goes on.
The good thing about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego is their unwavering faith with God. It's not that they know, they wouldn't be burned. And what they showed was not an act of courage. We could only imagine how fearsome they were inside their head knowing they will be thrown in the fiert furnace. But there's peace in them. Knowing that whatever happen they know that God got them because they know who their God is in their lives. Perhaps, they have experienced Him so much that they couldn't doubt Him anymore. There's Peace. And that Peace can only be obtained by having a genuine relationship with God.
This 2025, I pray that we all receive that unexplainable Peace. Especially during situations alike to a burning fiery furnace. And please know, that we can only have that kind of peace by having a personal genuine relationship with God, with our Savior Jesus Christ.
